About 11.15am today (Sunday 26 July 2015), police were called to Mount Darragh Road, Lochiel, after a semi-trailer carrying machinery overturned.
Police from Far South Coast Local Area Command attended and located the driver, a 59-year-old local man, deceased.
Mount Darragh Road remains closed in both directions and is expected to be closed for some hours.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
