Activities assistant Connie Boller and volunteer Susan Stephenson cut out the bonnets, which were embellished beautifully by an enthusiastic team of ladies.
The eight adult and 10 baby bonnets were then sewed up by Susan, before being posted to Tasmania courtesy of Pambula’s Bendigo Bank.
They were sent to Dr Christina Henri, instigator of the Roses from the Heart project, which aims to raise awareness of the economic and social contribution made by convict women.
