The session will inform local residents of the planned steps to completion involving collaborative opportunities for local community groups wanting to be involved in the project.
Bega Valley Shire Council's manager of leisure and recreation services, John Grady, said the drop-in session would give people the chance to ask council staff about the proposed extent and timing of the works to complete the pathway.
“It’s good news that we are now in the final stages of this project and soon the Eden community and a growing number of visitors will be able to enjoy this local asset,” Mr Grady said.
“Council staff will be at the information session to run people through the plans and to take on board any feedback from the community.
“Opportunities for community participation in reserve management works will also be outlined, indicating types and areas of improvements that may be undertaken to help realise the potential of this area of natural beauty,” he said.
The drop-in information session will be held at the Eden Log Cabin, on the corner of Maling and Bass Streets, on Thursday, April 30, 3-5.30pm.
