It also signified their support for Eden's biggest beanie project.
The beanie project is still calling for knitters to knit squares with the cut off date looming.
If anyone wants to assist, the requirements are a 10-inch square knitted with size 8 needles and 8 ply yarn.
People can also sponsor a square by visiting the Eden Killer Whale Museum or street stalls held outside Eden Newsagency.
All funds raised go to the Bega Wig Library and its program, Look Good, Feel Better, which helps local cancer patients feel better about themselves.
Eden Men's Shed members will then erect the giant beanie, constructed of the many sponsored squares, on top of the EKWM lighthouse on the June long weekend.
Meanwhile, a Seniors Week luncheon at the Eden Scout Hall on Thursday was attended by about 120 people.
The event was organised by the Eden Killer Whale Museum.
Jack Dickenson, president of the museum, said the precinct was a perfect venue on a perfect autumn day.
Several mini buses from care facilities brought their residents along to enjoy the food, entertainment and socialising.
Eden Men's Shed members cooked up a storm on the hot plate and offered several cold meats and a wide choice of salads.
The ladies from the EKWM Friends Group spoiled the crowd with their cakes and slices for dessert.
Entertainers including Tai Chi group, Eden Gym Group, David O'Connor, Steve Mahoney, Jim Campbell, Arch the Swaggie and the Eden Singers entertained the crowd.
All the entertainers gave their time freely for which the organisers were most grateful.
