Bombala were strong across the board and benefited from the return of many players from last year’s Group 16 league tag premiers, Cooma.
Bombala created chances with set moves that put the Sharkettes’ defence in two minds and the visitors hit gaps at pace.
The Sharkettes never gave up but were outclassed on the day.
“Many of the girls are new to the game and will benefit from the run, and there is plenty of improvement to come,” co-coach Amber Weyman said after the game.
The Sharkettes face the Cooma Fillies at Cooma Showground on Sunday and kick-off is at noon.
