The Eden Tigers’ sponsors night will be held at the Great Southern Inn, the club’s 2014 major sponsor.
The night will kick off at 6pm for a 6.30 start with the draw for the jumpers for the 2015 season being the feature of the evening.
The night will see the introduction of the major sponsors and the coaches for the new season with the Tigers club very excited by the inclusion of the under 18s for the first time in a couple of years.
The club’s up-and-coming new generation of players will be coached by the very experienced Mark Spink, who is a wonderful mentor for these young men.
While the wonderfully talented Alan Aldridge will be in charge of the reserve grade with our local Englishman Tommy Henderson overseeing the very young and talented ladies league-tag team.
The Tigers’ experienced back rower Micheal Wykes will take on his first senior coaching position to lead the Tigers into to battle for the 2015 Group 16 competition.
He is very excited by the opportunity to lead the club that he played all his junior footy for.
The Tigers would love to see as many supporters as possible to attend the evening with a beautiful two course meal for $30 and a chance to see Eden get the season off to a positive start.
The Tigers also have a number of players featuring in the Indigenous dream team that will take on the Group 16 All Stars at Bega.
Led by our very own Alan Aldridge, we wish the boys the best of luck.
Next weekend, the club will host the Group 16 Nines tournament at the George Brown Memorial Oval.
The day kicks of at 8am and will finish with the grand final at 5.30pm.
The club has signed Tigers legend Todd “Bolts” Bolton for a guest appearance at the Nines and it will give the Eden Tigers’ supporters the opportunity to once again enjoy the skills of this very talented sportsman.
More news next week on the upcoming Nines competition.
Finally, the club offers its condolences to the family and friends of Don Fletcher, Trevor Wood and Florie Bobbin after their passing this last week.
The town has lost three wonderful Edenites.
