In an open public information session to be held tonight, Thursday, March 5, at the council chambers in Bega, council’s chief financial officer, Lucas Scarpin, will be on hand to explain the details of the council's financial position.
“Our financial review statements are of interest to every ratepayer and resident, but they can be difficult to understand,” Mr Scarpin said.
“This is a great opportunity for local people to gain an understanding of our financial position and future directions without wading through complex documentation.
“The quarterly review will at first be presented and explained and then senior staff and councillors will be open to questions from the floor,” Mr Scarpin said.
Council’s half yearly progress against its operational plan will also be presented.
The public session will be held tonight at 5.30pm.
