Guests will be entertained by a variety of performances as the auditorium is transformed into cabaret central.
Following on from the recent success of the museum’s fashion parade, proceeds from the night will be shared between the Eden Singers and the Bega District Hospital oncology department’s wig library.
“There’ll be a bit of song from the choir and the community, a bit of music hall and a few fun little skits,” museum president Jack Dickenson said.
“Several different people are performing, both groups and individuals.
“It’ll be a real night of fun, with a little bit of a theatre, restaurant and nightclub feel to it.
“Our musical director, Susan Cleverley, has put a lot of work into it and is very enthusiastic about seeing it all come together.”
One of the highlights is sure to be Jack’s skit with Margaret Sheaves, where the pair plays a couple who meet again later in life, several decades after their relationship ended.
Guests are asked to bring their own drinks and nibbles, with tea, coffee and biscuits to be provided on the night.
The cost of admission is $10, and bookings are essential as space is limited.
For more details or to book, call Margaret on 6496 1924, or Val on 6496 2532.
“It’s a good opportunity for anyone who wants to join the choir to get involved as well,” Jack said.
“You don’t have to have any singing degrees or eisteddfod prizes – if you love to sing, come along and give it a go.
“In the new year we’ll be into a new repertoire, and it’s ideal to be there from stage one.”
