Over 200 photographs were in the mix, but Scott Walton’s Snug Cove stunner has stood head and shoulders above the competition to grace the cover of the official Eden visitors’ guide.

Scott’s sunset snap is coupled with images of some of Eden’s most popular attractions, which Eden Visitor Information Centre manager Shannon Woloshyn says provides “a great expression of Eden”.
“We had so many amazing photos, but Scott’s photo was the definite winner,” Ms Woloshyn said.
“It was the most popular on social media and within the community, and the judges knew it just had to go in.
“The only problem was that it didn’t fit the format we needed for the cover, so we decided to make a collage with his photo as the highlight, but also featuring some of Eden’s most popular attractions.
“We feel it’s a great expression of Eden, combining the natural surrounds, whale watching, the port and the history of the town – all the things that attract visitors to Eden.”
The other photos in the collage include a breaching whale, Boyd’s Tower, Saltwater Creek, Eden’s beaches, a cruise ship at Snug Cove, the Eden Killer Whale Museum and the Pinnacles.
Ms Woloshyn said the images came from a combination of local organisations.
The book, ‘Eden – a natural paradise on the Sapphire Coast’ will be launched in December, with 50,000 copies to be circulated throughout NSW, the ACT and Victoria.
“We’re very lucky to have this publication, because it helps visitors to understand what’s here, and it entices them to visit,” Ms Woloshyn said.
“I think, with the collage on the cover, people will look at it and say, ‘Wow! Look how many interesting things are happening in Eden, let’s go and check this place out’.
“The official launch will be at the visitors' centre on Tuesday, December 16, from 5pm-7pm.
“All members of the centre, advertisers and members of the community are invited to come and check out the book and the centre.
“We’re very excited about this book – it’s been a lot of fun to work on and I’d like to thank all the volunteers and advertisers who have made it possible.”
