5PM: The 9.30pm fireworks have now been cancelled.
2.30PM: The Whale Song SunSet Gig has been moved to the Eden Fishermen's Recreation Club, while a number of activities and stalls have been packed up following inclement weather at Snug Cove.
The event is free for all ages, and will be held in the club's auditorium from 6.30pm.
"The show must go on,” festival chair Debbie Richardson said.
“Thanks to the Eden Fishermen’s Club who have granted us safe port tonight!”
“We hope you join us for great live entertainment and a true celebration of community spirit for this year’s very special Whale Song SunSet gig.”
Fellow committee member Sarah Chenhall said the event will be "something special".
"We really hope people will come along to enjoy the music and celebrate the great community spirit we're seeing here today," she said.
"Of course, people can also go along to the Eden Killer Whale Museum at 4pm to watch Doggn It Blues while staying out of the wet."
The 9.30pm fireworks display will proceed at the wharf as planned, and can be seen from Imlay Street.
There are plenty of indoor activities for those hoping to keep dry, including the Sea Shepherd talk at the Sapphire Coast Marine Disovery Centre from 5pm, and several pop-up exhibitions around town.
The Capstan Pull competition has been cancelled, but a demonstration will still take place for River Cottage film crews.
Stallholders have packed up their displays following the rain, while the AeroBounce trampoline and jumping castle have also been taken down.
The oyster shucking competition has also been called off.
On Sunday, the festival continues with a range of indoor and outdoor activities for Discover Eden.
The hop-on, hop-off shuttle bus will still be touring, with the 10-stop art trail also open at venues across town.
Whale expert Geoff Ross will present the latest on the migration at the Eden Killer Whale Museum at 2.30pm.
