The clash between minor premiers Warilla-Lake South and their neighbours Shellharbour City is expected to be a brutal battle between two quality forward packs.
The Gorillas are fresh from a week off, while the Sharks had a thrilling come from behind victory over the Nowra-Bomaderry Jets in last Sunday’s qualifying semi.
There is no hiding the team’s dislike for each other and a huge crowd is expected to turn out for the battle.
The Gorillas have downed the Sharks on both occasions this season, but not without a hell of a battle and there is expected to be little in it this time around.
The clash of the props up front will be one to keep an eye on, with Damien Paulissen and Andrew Diomei from the Gorillas coming up against Craig Stapleton and Harold Snell from the Sharks.
However it is the form of multi-skilled Gorillas lock Aaron Henry that will be causing Sharks coach David Walsh the most headaches.
Henry has consistently been the Group’s most dangerous attacking weapon in the last couple of season’s and will be at the forefront when the Sharks defensive plans are put in place.
Some food for thought from the major semis is that all teams who teams who went straight through to the grand final last year lost the decider.
