Students and staff of Lumen Christi Catholic College celebrated a busy last day of term two on Friday, with athletics carnival and academic award presentations, along with entertainment as part of the annual ‘Lumen’s Got Talent’ event.

Athletics champions from Kindergarten to Year 12 were presented with individual medals during a freezing cold presentation in the college’s upper courtyard during an early morning special assembly.
Bobberrer House was announced as overall winners of the college’s primary and secondary athletics carnival, much to the delight of its members.
Following recess, students and staff were entertained by a variety of acts, as part of the final of ‘Lumen’s Got Talent’.
James Otton opened the show with a lively and colourful Elvis impersonation, with other acts including Liliana Kleber and her original comedy routine, a beautiful rendition of ‘Moon River’ by Judith Browne, and an original song composed and performed by Hannah Fernandez.
Sarah Mayberry was voted the eventual winner by a panel of judges including students and staff.
The afternoon awards presentation and ceremony celebrated the achievement of students throughout the first semester.
Students from each year level from Kindergarten to Year 12 were presented with awards and certificates of achievement in each subject, and many proud parents were present to share the moment.
Students and staff are enjoying a relaxing break before the second half of the school year commences on Tuesday, July 15.
