2. Will Hopoate Played through the pain barrier to complete his mission to keep Darius Boyd quiet. Quality ball eluded the Eels flyer. (5/10)
3. Michael Jennings A victim of the slow and grinding affair and was limited in his involvement. Sill yet to produce his best in his 12 Origin games. (5/10)
4. Josh Dugan Operation keep Greg Inglis quiet was a success for Dugan. Unfortunately he was kept equally quiet with limited ball movement from the Blues. (5/10)
5. Daniel Tupou The frequent flyer was kept grounded and largely kept out of the game. Confined to kick returns and dummy-half runs. (4/10)
6. Josh Reynolds The game suited the man known as grub but he couldn’t produce his attacking best. His boot saved a certain try on half-time. (5/10)
7. Trent Hodkinson Solid as a rock in his second game in the No.7 jumper and produced a solo effort to score the match-winning try. (8/10)
8. Paul Gallen (c) He played like he had two heads, four legs and eight years of pain in his heart. The skipper had a high workrate with 21 hit-ups and 35 tackles. (7/10)
9. Robbie Farah His head-to-head battle with Cameron Smith was a highlight. He tried to lift his team with several big hits and his kicking game was first rate. (8/10)
10. Aaron Woods A strong start but was left on the bench for a long period in the middle of the contest. He looked dangerous with ball in hand. (6/10)
11. Beau Scott Beau was like an arrow in hunting down Maroon attackers. Conversely, his attack was uninspiring and was replaced with 20 minutes to go. (5/10)
12. Ryan Hoffman The left-hand edge has become his forte and he was right on the money in patrolling it. The go-to man for the Blues in attack. (8/10)
13. Greg Bird Revelled in the niggle and was in the thick of everything. He was typically uncompromising in attack and defence. (6/10)

14. James Tamou Gave away a penalty on entry and things didn’t improve. (4/10)
15. Anthony Watmough Down on his usual Origin form. (5/10)
16. Trent Merrin Left to the second half and couldn’t help spark the attack. (5/10)
