December 28, 1989: Minister for Primary Industries John Kerrin releases the Government’s fisheries statement, “New Directions for Commonwealth in the 1990s".
June 30, 1988: This 40kg plus Harpoka or New Zealand groper was just part of a large catch landed by Eden trawler, Naiomi B, on a drop-line at the Canyons Recently. Eden fisherman, Bob Elliot, is pictured displaying the huge fish.
June 30, 1988: The Federal Minister for Primary Industries, John Kerrin has rejected claims that his government was mismanaging the gemfish industry.
