Officers are scouring farmland and waterways near Bombala for the 53-year-old, who vanished from a friend’s house at Rockton.
She is presumed dead, although no trace of her body has been found.
Bombala Police Constable Nathan Marks told Fairfax Media yesterday that 15 officers were involved in the fresh search from Monday to Friday last week.
Rural crime squad officers from the Monaro Local Area Command, assisted by criminal investigators from neighbouring local area commands, carried out the search.
The NSW Police Dive Unit from Sydney was also present, searching a local river and waterway, he said.
Constable Marks said the investigation was continuing and he was unable to comment on whether any new leads had been found.
He would not pinpoint the exact location of the properties or waterways that had been searched for operational reasons.
“As a result of the recent coronial inquest into the disappearance of Sylvia Pajuczok, a further search was conducted on farmland near Bombala with the investigation ongoing,” he said.
“Police would like to thank all those who have assisted in this investigation.”
Constable Marks said it was important that the public knew the police were actively continuing their investigation into the case.
Ms Pajuczok’s disappearance was featured on the Ten Network’s Wanted program last September, with a $100,000 reward offered for information that may solve the case.
A coronial inquest into her disappearance was held in December, with a number of Bombala residents called to give evidence.
At the time of Ms Pajuczok’s disappearance, friend Rachael Bush said she had gone to Bombala to spend a couple of days with her brother.
Alarm bells rang when she failed to contact her children on Christmas Day.
Ms Pajuczok’s abandoned green Toyota Tarago was located by police on the Monaro Highway, 10km south of Bombala shortly after Christmas 2008.
Her bank account had not been accessed and she left personal items including her mobile phone, glasses and clothes behind.
A doting grandmother, her disappearance was considered to be out of character.
Anyone with information is urged to phone Bombala Police on 6458 3444, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
