“After a long period of receiving entries in the mail, the records staff become avid art critics by the time entries close, and they look forward enormously to choosing the ‘back-room’ favourite,” Bega Valley Regional Gallery Curator, Megan Bottari said.
“This year’s Mailroom prize has been awarded to Suzie Bleach and Andy Townsend for their assembled beauty, The Horologist’s Horse.”
The main event opens this Thursday night (12 December) at the BVRG with a welcome from the Mayor and the announcement of the winner by event judge Dr Denise Ferris, Head of the ANU School of Art.
The excitement kicks off from 6pm: all welcome, entry free.
