Angela & Wayne are part of popular Canberra band, Angela Lount and the Fedoras who have become a regular feature band for the Down South Jazz Club January gig.
Vocalist Angela Lount brings her soulful, bluesy voice for a more intimate evening with Canberra piano legend, Wayne Kelly.
A popular and entertaining vocalist, she was a member of the Woden Valley Youth Choir for five years and has toured Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the UK with them. She later became a member of the Darkside Divas, an all female group.
Amazing jazz pianist Wayne Kelly has been a professional musician for over 30 years. He has a Bachelor of Music in jazz studies and a graduate diploma in jazz studies, both from the ANU. Wayne has played or recorded with many notable musicians including James Morrison, Andrew Speight, Don Burrows and Andrew Dickeson.
He has performed extensively overseas and has also toured with many artists, among them Judith Durham and Don Burrows, as well as performing at jazz festivals around Australia. Wayne plays as a solo jazz piano player as well as with his own trio and with larger ensembles. Over the last few years, the Wayne Kelly trio has a residency at iconic café, Tilley's.
