Eden Community Access Centre (ECAC) are holding a COVID certificate action day today, Wednesday, October 13, in order to assist the community to obtain their vaccination certificates.
The day was planned in response to ECAC being overwhelmed by people seeking support to get their certificates.
Carina Severs, manager of ECAC said volunteers had recorded a 400 per cent increase in requests for assistance, to get Mygov accounts, link to Medicare and then print their certificates.
"To alleviate some pressure from the centre the certificate action day will be held at the Log Cabin in Bass/Maling street in Eden from 10am to 2pm and will be supported by Service NSW," Carina said.
Those attending will need to bring Medicare card, photo ID, bank card/details and a mobile phone.
Appointments are not required. COVID safe guidelines will be in place.
