I actually live in Tura Beach, but have been traveling to Eden to support local business and to walk in the area since I retired to the Far South Coast in 2013. Prior to that I was in Sydney and ran a photography business there for 17 years.
What do you like most about your job?
Connecting and supporting local businesses and those over 50. My new job as a digital mentor is to educate and empower adults over 50 to develop their digital skills and thrive in a digital world. I offer a variety of support including social media, website management plus business start-up needs.
What do you like least about your job?
Sometimes the distances can be a bit time consuming, but at least the views are usually pretty good. Being active and occupied is one of my coping mechanisms for dealing with life's challenges.
What's your favourite place in Eden and/or the Bega Valley?
All the beautiful walking trails and coastal lookouts.
If you won $1million what would you do first?
Buy a small motor home and take my husband around Australia before his Parkinson's restricts his mobility too much.
What is one thing you cannot live without?
A device that will allow me the ability to capture my passion for photography.
What are three words that describe Eden best?
Scenic Coastal Town.
What do you think Eden needs the most as a community?
More unification and collaboration with each other - working together more. This is something that is sadly lacking in many of our Bega Valley Shire towns.
