The Southern NSW Local Health District reported two positive cases in Queanbeyan on Saturday night, and another at Karabar, near Queanbeyan, overnight Sunday. The Karabar case will be officially included in Tuesday's numbers.
The weekend's confirmations bring the total cases in the LHD to 24 since the start of the current outbreak in June.
On Sunday morning, Bega Valley Shire Mayor Russell Fitzpatrick again urged vigilance within the community after sewage testing from Eden on September 8-9 returned virus fragments.
This was the first detection in Eden's sewage, the town's plant servicing around 3000 people.
"If you live in Eden or the surrounding areas, or in fact anywhere in the shire, and you have the slightest hint of cold-like symptoms, you need to get tested... and isolate until a negative result is received," he said.
On Monday morning Premier Gladys Berejiklian said while vaccination figures were looking promising, she also still urged caution.
"Do not be complacent...all of us have to stay the course," she said.
Ms Berejikian announced 1257 new cases of COVID-19 were found in NSW in the 24 hours to 8pm Sunday.
Seven deaths from COVID-19 were reported to NSW Health and 137,668 tests were conducted in the same timeframe.
The Bega Valley, along with neighbouring shire Eurobodalla and Snowy-Monaro remain under stay-at-home orders.
