The Eden Whale Festival Committee have made the difficult decision to cancel this years Eden Whale Festival which was scheduled to be held from October 15 - 17, 2021.

The cancellation is due to the current circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and general uncertainty regarding when stay-at-home orders will be lifted.

A spokesperson for the committee said, "We understand how important the festival is to the local community, and how much everyone was looking forward to this event after having been cancelled last year, however the health and wellbeing of our community is paramount."

"Unfortunately, we couldn't delay the decision any longer, due to the amount of planning required for an event such as this," the spokesperson said.

"In the coming days we will contact stall holders who have pre-paid for their sites and offer refunds.

"We will also approach our sponsors and anyone else who has provided financial support in anticipation of the festival going ahead.

"We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to seeing you at the 2022 Eden Whale Festival!"
