However, Bermagui got their own back with a tightly contested win in the women's match with both games held at Dickinson Oval.
The Breakers had little reprieve from Eden's attacking raids in the reserve grade contest, with the visitors claiming a convincing win 12-11-83 to 1-2-8.
Ben Thomas and Spencer Timms were both dominant, kicking three goals apiece, while Lee James and Liam Wilkinson piled on the pressure, kicking a further two goals each.
The win sees the Whalers holding first place on the ladder.
Meanwhile, the women's roster is still holding third after a 6-10-46 to 6-0-36 loss to the Breakers.
Tamika Millard and Tyler Crowe were among the best for Eden, with Kamilla Grubesic and Kate Mitchell kicking two goals each.
The ladies take on Tathra this weekend, while the reserves face Wyndham.
