I started working at Eden Public School 43 years ago, in 1978. I have actually taught three generations of students there. Prior to that I taught in Sydney. In 2008 I had a year teaching at Pambula Public School.
What do you like most about your job?
I like the variety, no day is the same and satisfaction is a great reward.
I am now in the library which is something I really love. It lets me be creative, I love doing displays, promoting books and encouraging children to read for pleasure.
What do you like least about your job?
Probably the administration side of the job. I'd rather have more time teaching than having to do administration, even though it is necessary in my position.
What's your favourite place in Eden and/or the Bega Valley?
Eden is so beautiful, it is too difficult to choose just one place. Any beach, I love the beach.
If you won $1million what would you do first?
That's easy, I would share it with my three sons - Greg, Jeremy and Mitchell.
What is one thing you cannot live without?
My family, they are my biggest supporters.
What are three words that describe Eden best?
Scenic, Community, Growing
What do you think Eden needs the most as a community?
I am very passionate about and protective of Eden's image. Eden is such a strong community and has already overcome so much adversity. We already have so many proactive people with drive, inspiration and encouragement leading Eden towards a bright future, and that's what we need.
