While there, Euan assisted with various constituent matters, helped out with general administration and also researched and wrote a speech for Kristy to read out in parliament.
The speech shone a light on the wonderful Eden Canoes Initiative but was limited to 90 seconds, so Euan needed to spend some time refining the information and making sure it was short and sharp.
While in Parliament House Euan had a tour of the building including walking past the Prime Minister's office and was able to sit in and watch question time. Euan loved seeing the politicians wandering the halls - and standing in the same line as them when ordering lunch!
"It was a pleasure having Euan work with us and to show him the ropes in Parliament House," Ms McBain said.
"I've never forgotten coming to parliament as a student at Eden Marine High School so it was wonderful to be able to give a local student a similar experience. Huge thanks to Euan for all his hard work and for sharing his enthusiasm with the office!"
To thank Euan for all his hard work Kristy's office gave him a signed copy of the Hansard of the speech he wrote as well as a signed copy of Anthony Albanese's book.
