The Tigers carded an 18-8 result over the Bega Chicks with Tamika Millard leading the charge with a pair of tries following some quick stepping and strong line breaks.

Kiarna Mitchell's kicking game was also impeccable, nailing all three conversion kicks.

Eden came under a bit of pressure in the second half, but the visitors remained stoic off their own line with the Roosters only able to find the line twice despite some repeat sets late in play.

The Portability Candelo-Bemboka United also carded their first win of the season when they came from behind to down the Roosters 20-18.

Unfortunately the first grade squad left the Bega Recreation Ground feeling flattened after finishing on the receiving end of an 88-4 scoreline.

It was tough from the outset for the visitors after they fumbled from the kick off giving Bega vital field position in the opening minute of play.

It set the tone for the match, where the Roosters would go on to score 15 tries and convert all but one of them with Josh Shepherdson and Todd Ingram both showing good touch with the boot.

Toroa Rapana and Clay Ellison both carded doubles, while scoring opportunities were smattered across the whole line for the Bega club.

It was a challenging result for the Eden club, but the Tigers were dealing with an injury list longer than their available roster ahead of the weekend.

The club's woes were compounded by not having a reserve grade to call on for extra depth, though a handful of players from the portability Candelo-Bemboka Panthers had joined the roster to bolster the ranks.

The Roosters weren't without their own injury concerns and coach Scott Barton ran on at hooker for his club.

The Tigers will be on the road this weekend to take on the Narooma Devils at Bill Smyth Memorial Oval.

The fixture will include a top of the table clash in the league-tag with the Tigers currently holding the lead over the the Devils.

The firsts will also line up against the Devils, while the Panthers have a bye.
