The Eden ladies tag team showed the Pambula Merimbula Hotdogs they mean business, with a huge win 70-0.
It has been Pambula Merimbula Hotdogs first season back since 2018. The young side showed potential and a great attitude, not giving up, despite the flogging.
It was an impressive score for the Eden side, who felt back in the competition after a massive loss to Bombala in round three.
"Whatever our girls tried, worked," coach Peter Mitchell said.
"Since the match with Bombala two week's ago, there has been a big improvement.
"Having a couple of stronger players back also made a big difference."
After issues with defense during the Bombala match, they knew they had to sharpen their act.
Tagging was in focus and just what they did, keeping the Hotdogs scoreless.
There were plenty of memories and milestones made for the Eden side. Emma Flannigan put in a huge effort, scoring three tries on the wing.
Chelsie Cassie secured her first try this year as well as plenty of others who scored their first points of the season: Kylie McDonald, Melinda Coulson and Jessica Curtis.
Play makers were Kiarna Mitchell, Chelsie Cassie, Tamika Millard and Tamyka Laws. Millard and Laws had returned after a stint away. They were strong in middle with the teams' attack was geared around them.
Kiarna Mitchell's boot was was on fire, only missing one conversion from out wide. The team also praised the work of Georgia Caldwell, saying it was her best game of the season.
Teamwork and talk was the path to success for Eden, who have worked hard each week.
Coach Mitchell said the match against Tathra this weekend won't be taken lightly.
It will be a massive day of footy with all grades, including the 18s, having a run at George Brown Oval.
Eden ladies tag captain Jacqueline Scott designed the Indigenous jerseys for the day. Results on p23.
