'Sapphire Coast Business Women' was brought togther by Mia Maze and Julie Novotny after they ran an event for International Women's Day in February 2021.
"We came together this year to run an international women's day event,
"From the feedback we received we learnt that our local women wanted to have a place and a space to meet together, to talk about the issues and challenges in their business in a safe environment," Ms Maze said.

Since February they have begun to run monthly social events on the last Friday of each month across the Bega Valley from Eden, Merimbula to Tathra.
The social events are an opportunity for women to share, listen, discuss and converse as well as encouraging women to change the conversations, the style of support, and the opportunities for women in the Bega Valley.
"We believe that where there is women there is magic and together we know that there is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish, especially when we cheer, celebrate and are inspired by every women's success," Ms Maze said.
The April 30 event spotlighted three local business women who were invited to talk about themselves to the group.
The first that presented was Mandi Stevenson who uses Kinesiology and Spinal Flow for remote healing in wellness centre at Merimbula called VitaminSea.
Ms Stevenson also talked about her new book she has released called 'Shazam'.
The second local business lady that presented was Simone Eyles who has a diverse range of skills in being an entrepreneur, business coach, financial counsellor and a sourdough baker.

The third local lady that was spotlighted was Corinne Gibbons who ran a singing activity called 'Discover your voice'.
Ms Maze said these events offer opportunities for local business women to run some activities through SCBW and have their business spotlighted.
"We have 10 minute spotlight sessions and that is a chance for all the other people, that are coming for a social opportunity to ask the person that is being spotlighted," Ms Maze said.
Ms Maze hopes SCBW will become a voice for women in business on the sapphire coast in the long term and will be a place women can reach out to, to learn about opportunities available to them locally.
"We wanted to offer an opportunity for women to stay connected and to come together, to feel safe about the discussions that they have and provide a place to support each other."
