Forty people have been arrested for a range of traffic offences following a four-day operation on the NSW Far South Coast.

Between Thursday and Sunday, April 22-25, officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command and South Coast Police District conducted Operation Generator, targeting roadways between Narooma and Eden.
The high-visibility police operation focused on dangerous driver behaviours, particularly drink and drug driving, street offences and anti-social behaviour.
As a result, 40 people were arrested for a range of offences including drink driving, disqualified driving, drug driving, drug possession, outstanding warrants and failing to leave licenced premises.
During the operation, 59 traffic infringement notices were issued for unsafe driving practices including speeding, mobile phone and seatbelt offences, and nine drivers tested positive to the presence of prohibited drugs.
