Transport for NSW will be resurfacing the highway to improve skid resistance from 840 metres south of Nethercote Road to 250 metres south of Quarantine Bay Road.
Work will take place from Monday, April 19 to Thursday, April 22 between 6am and 6pm, weather permitting.
This work was originally scheduled to start on Monday, March 22 but was postponed due to poor weather.
A single lane closure, traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and road users.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, allow for an additional travel time of up to five minutes, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanks road users for their patience during this time.
