Officials said Mark Boller was playing like a masters champion with an excellent round of 66 to win the April medal. Graham Cantrill also played well coming in second with a 70. Clyde Cumming and Bob Bowden took out the B grade competition. Peter Grubesic hit the Golden Shot on the third.
The shot of the day was a hole-in-one by visitor Gary Windsor on the difficult par 3 10th. Balls went to 77.
Ros Haenig had 73 to win the women's competition followed by Laura Walker. The women also had a putting competition. Julie Campbell won that with 28 putts.
Tuesday was the women's monthly medal. Yvonne Perriman had a special round with a net 69. Yvonne has been a regular player and she was pleased to win the Medal. Ros Haenig won the putting competition with 30 putts, as well as the Golden shot. Winners of the Man's competition were Greg Bolton with 38 and Connor Griffiths-Cassie second on 36. Mick Rooney hit the Golden Shot.
On Sunday's Dad's Army, Morgan Thornton won with 24 points and the handicappers cut his handicap down accordingly. Graham Gray had 20 points to win Wednesdays Chicken Run, but failed to get anywhere near that on Friday. On Friday 6 players had the same score, but on a countback Buzz Thornton and Guy Hawthorn were the winners.
Next weeks Saturday Competition is a 4BBB mixed day with an 11am shotgun start. Get a partner and join in, there will be a barbecue after the days play.
