Organiser Mia Maze said the community came together to celebrate women, opened up conversation and united to stand for equality.

"Grace Tame's words replay in our minds. We need to invite, listen, and accept the conversation, and lived experiences of our women, our local women, our women who light up to be our leaders," Ms Maze said.

"So when we think of what's next we think of these words from our former Prime Minister Julia Gillard 'It starts with having more women in the room, raising issues on behalf of women. Women advocating change, and putting women's needs firmly on the agenda'.

"This is an opportunity for us as a community to be courageous and recognise that we have a platform on which we have started to share our truth, one voice, and our collective voices can make a difference," she said.

Ms Maze expressed her thanks to the speakers, partners, sponsors and volunteers who made the event possible.

"We heard from the beautiful and mesmerizing voice of Corinne Gibbons from Discover your Voice, Acknowledgement to Country was beautifully presented by Tarra Glover, Eden-Monaro MP Kristy McBain - who made this event possible by sponsoring the event with the content stream cost - and Leanne Barnes general manager of Bega Valley Shire Council were our special keynote speakers, and Eric Wolske from Our Eden, Eden Chamber of Commerce spoke as our partners for this event and Phill Small for donating his expertise behind the lens on the day and our team of volunteer assistants," she said.

"We brought over 40 women and men into the room and we united and we want to keep having more conversations in the room, raising issues on behalf of women and acting on behalf of our community."
