A single level brick veneer house on West Street in Eden was completely destroyed this morning due to a house fire.

Just after 10am, Fire and Rescue NSW responded to a triple zero (000) call reporting the house fire.
Crews from Eden and Merimbula fire stations arrived on scene and found large volumes of smoke issuing through the roof of the home.
Firefighters from both Fire and Rescue NSW and the NSW Rural Fire Service worked to extinguish the blaze and were able to contain the fire to the house of origin just after 12pm.
One occupant was treated by NSW Ambulance on the scene.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
