Missing 26yo Cooma woman found

UPDATE, Thursday, October 1, 8am:

Police have located a woman missing from Cooma.

The 26-year-old woman was reported missing to officers from Monaro Police District on Monday, September 28, after she failed to return to her home in Cooma from a trip to Canberra on Friday, September 25.

Following inquiries, the woman was found at Waratah just before 11pm Wednesday, September 30.

Police would like to thank the media and the community for their assistance.

Police are asking for the public's help to find a woman missing from Cooma.

Francesca Hickling-Riveria was reported missing to the Monaro Police District on Monday, September 28.

The 26-year-old had failed to return to her Cooma home after a trip to Canberra on Friday, September 25.

"Police and family hold concern for her welfare due to not seeing or hearing from her since last Friday, and medical conditions that require daily treatment," a NSW Police spokesperson said.

"Francesca is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, of thin build, with blue eyes and brown eyes.

"She was last seen wearing a white long sleeve shirt, black skirt, black flats and a black wig."

Police believe Ms Hickling-Riveria may have travelled to Sydney via train then on to the Newcastle area.
