On Thursday, Bega Valley Shire Council said four teams of local contractors were undertaking the removal of fire-affected vegetation in the shire.

The contractors were performing work along Yowrie Rd, Gilberts Rd, Towamba Rd, and Tantawangalo Rd, and once Yowrie Rd is finished the focus will shift to Upper Brogo Rd.

Council stated traffic control was in place and minor delays may be experienced from 7am to 4pm.
