Three of these were overseas travellers in hotel quarantine and one was locally acquired without a known source.
Five of the cases were acquired through community transition and linked to known cases.
These included another student at Tangara School for Girls, two household contacts of known cases and a staff member at Liverpool Hospital.
There was also a positive test in a person who worked at Dooleys Lidcombe Catholic Club, which follows a case in a co-worker who was reported on August 10.
Overnight, outside of the reporting period, a new case has been identified in a student who attends St Vincent's College at Potts Point.
The school is today closed for deep cleaning while investigations and contact tracing are underway.
NSW Health has previously stated that there is no evidence of any ongoing risk to patients and staff from recent cases at Liverpool Hospital and says patients should continue to visit to receive the medical care they need.
People who were at Liverpool Hospital at the same time as the cases are advised to monitor for symptoms and get tested should even the mildest of symptoms develop.
Of the known clusters, there are now:
- Three cases linked to Our Lady of Mercy School Parramatta
- 21 cases linked to Tangara School Cherrybrook cluster
- 11 cases linked to Soldiers Club Batemans Bay
- 116 cases linked to Thai Rock Restaurant Wetherill Park
- 70 cases linked to the July funeral events in the Bankstown area
- 34 cases linked to Thai Rock Restaurant Potts Point
- 58 cases linked to Crossroads Hotel Casula
- Two cases linked to Dooley's Lidcombe Catholic Club
NSW Health has continued to advise that there are four lines of defence to help stop the spread of COVID-19:
- If you are unwell, stay in, get tested and isolate.
- Wash your hands regularly. Take hand sanitiser with you when you go out.
- Keep your distance. Leave 1.5 metres between yourself and others.
- Wear a mask in situations where you cannot physically distance.
