The Eden Welcome Centre will be located on the existing co-op site adjacent to Eden Ice Supplies within close proximity of the recently completed cruise wharf.
Planning approval has been granted and construction is scheduled to begin this month, weather permitting, with stage one construction and internal fitout expected to be ready for the start of the 2020/21 cruise season.
After site establishment, the demolition of the existing co-op building will be undertaken from mid-February to mid-March.
Construction will generally be undertaken from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays.
Rankin Builders has previously worked with the selected architecture firm, Cox Architecture, on the Bermagui Fishermen's Wharf.
Port Authority said it was proud to support this local business.
Owner of the business, Neil Rankin, was last year also named as the purchaser of the iconic Hotel Australasia.
