"We believe that the competition is a practical way of assisting the community. It is one way of attracting visitors to Tathra at a time when it really needs it," club president Ray Spencer said.
The competition gets underway with entry from 5.30am on Saturday at the KIaninny Bay boat ramp and concludes with weigh-in cut off at 1pm on Sunday at the TAFC clubhouse.
Open entries are $10 and juniors under 15 are free.
Juniors may also enter the Opens for $5, and enter one fish in either category, but entries must be nominated prior to weighing.
Dusky flathead must be under 60cm, along with all current Fisheries restrictions.
Boat fishing entries are restricted to launchings from Kianinny Bay, Bega River, Wallagoot Lake and Nelsons River.
