Residents are warned to prepare for another challenging day on Friday with temperatures of 30 degrees at Eden. RFS community liaison officer Marty Webster said that Friday would be "another challenging day, similar to Saturday but with not such a big peak but a more protracted period".

He asked people to review what they did last time and make any changes to their plans if needed.

"It's not stacking up as quite at bad but will be over a longer period of time," Mr Webster said.
"We've had a practise run and people need to review how it played out for them. Are there things they did that they wouldn't do again," he said.
Mr Webster said he had heard quite a few stories of people who had stayed to defend but said afterwards they would never do it again.

He cautioned those staying to recognise it can be not only very difficult and required extensive preparation but can be traumatic, physically and mentally.
Mr Webster said that consolidation, control and containment was still taking place and that new lines were being prepared for the coming days.
Club Sapphire, Merimbula RSL Club and Tura Beach Country Club have all been put on standby for Friday.
