The smokey sky and muggy heat didn't deter Eden folk from coming out in droves for the annual Christmas on Imlay event held last night, Thursday, December 19.

The atmosphere was full of festive spirit as Imlay Street, between Chandos and Bass streets were closed off for the free, fun, family-oriented evening.

A blow up slide, jumping castle, market stalls and food vans lined the streets which quickly filled with people just after 5.30 in the afternoon when all the action got underway.

Spirits were high as hams were won, wood was chopped, baby ballerina's twirled and fairy floss spun.

Little shrieks of delight filled the air when Santa rolled in on the back of the siren screaming fire truck throwing out lollies and high fives.

Eden's number one tinsel town event that's been running for over forty years was a joyous occasion for all who attended.
