Despite posting a creditable score of 203 runs with the bat, the Eden outfit were chased down in the last handful of balls with Merimbula finishing 5/204.
Drew Mudaliar had a stellar opening knocking a neat 50 before he was caught by Dylan Lawson, while fellow opener Matt Bell picked up 30 wickets to give Eden a strong start.
Some cheap wickets crept into the innings, but Patrick Kearney and Andrew Evelyn both boosted the tally, scoring 29 and 38 respectively.
With a bag of extras, the Eden side finished all-out for 203 in the 39th over.
Merimbula dropped five wickets in the chase, but 58 from Dylan Jordan and 48 from Mitch Jessop set the foundation for the visitors to clinch the win.
Toby Timms had been the best with the ball, taking 3/30.
Eden will head to Bega's George Griffin Oval on Saturday to face off against the Bega-Angledale Bulls.
