Club officials said it was great to recognise and pay tribute to the young Indigenous players in the comp and welcome their family and friends to celebrate their part in the sport.
Players all received special commemorative caps featuring local Indigenous art and organisers said they were an amazing keepsake.
The club now shifts to finals time with everyone urged to check Facebook for confirmed draws or check in with their coaches.
Officials said it had been an awesome summer season with everyone coming together to make it a wonderful experience.
The club said individual players and teams had also achieved some remarkable results including personal bests.
"New players have excelled and senior players have reached new heights with the Merimbula Cup mind blowing on many levels," a spokeswoman said.
Club president Cliff Scarlett said with the wonderful growth in the competition, the club now needs more qualified referees.
"If you want the best seat in the house to watch the fastest growing sport in the Shire, pass on your skills and knowledge or just earn some extra money, the Sharks want to hear from you," Mr Scarlett said.
"Basketball in the area is exploding and with our club numbers growing, and with the increased development of our players we have a shortage of qualified referees." Find the club on Facebook or at merimbulabasketball@gmail.com
