Two bats fell painfully short of centuries for Eden on their way to 6/271, while a stoic effort in response from the Pirates kept them 100 off the target, all-out for 181.
Andrew Evelyn and Patrick Kearney opened the batting for the Eden roster at the Eden Cricket Ground, but the pair were brought unstuck reasonably cheaply by the Pirates' bowling attack.
However, Drew Mudaliar came in at three and took stock of the visiting bowlers, belting them all over the park as he built to 95 runs.
Joel Hutchison had added 17 early in Mudaliar's stand, but when he was bowled, Tim Bowes joined Mudaliar at the crease and the duo piled on an 162-run partnership.
Mudaliar was finally returned to the sheds late in the piece by an Elijah Blair catch, but Bowes remained glued to the crease as he batted his way to 97 not-out.
Eden young gun Rahul Mudaliar showed some superb skill as he built to 14 not-out with Eden running shy of overs at the end of the innings.
Stu Piper had been the best with the ball for South Euro, cleaning up three wickets.
Left with something of a mountain of runs to overcome, the Pirates showed some good endeavour on the ball, but wickets tumbled steadily until the club found themselves shy of batsmen in the 38th over.
Dillon Smith hit 21 at opener, while batting partner Thilan Walgamage was returned to the sheds for five.
Blair was building steadily until he was caught by Bowes on 29, with Stu Piper adding 24 more runs to the tally before he was dismissed.
Josh Piper had the best of the visitors, hitting 33 runs, but the Pirates had also dropped a handful of cheap wickets.
When the tail end fell over for just 15 runs the scores were tallied and the Pirates were 100 shy of the chase.
The win puts Eden within striking distance of knocking off Merimbula for second place this coming weekend.
The Eden team will face comp leaders Tathra at Lawrence Park.
