Eden were on the road to face the Bluedogs at the Pambula Sporting Complex and were put on the back foot early in the piece.
A pair of Ethan Adams catches got Pambula off to a blinder of a start as he dismissed both openers for ducks.
40 runs later, third down the order Patrick Kearney was also caught by the fielder and returned to the sheds for just 13 runs.
However, despite the early dismissals, Eden proved resilient with a middle order partnership keeping the visitors in the running for the points.
Matthew Bell and Tim Bowes paired up at the crease with both batsmen earning 57 runs before they were returned to the sheds.
Bell went first off a Morgan Jackson catch, while Adams showed great consistency in the field to take the wicket of Bowes just 20 runs later.
Both critical wickets had come off the bowling of Grover Gillespie, who clinched four wickets on the day to lead the Pambula bowling attack.
Jackson was the next best with the ball, securing three wickets as the Eden visitors were dismissed for 199 off 35 overs.
A big knock of 75 from Jake Taylor laid the foundation for the Bluedogs' reply, while fellow opener Sean Smith hit a capable 30 before he was caught by Bell.
Tim Wilson scored 20, while Josh Hammond finished 21 not-out as the Bluedogs ran down the target at 6/201 in the final over.
The Eden-Mallacoota combine also suffered a loss in division two against the Merimbula Knights.
Gary Henderson opened well for 32 runs, but the Knights began picking up some cheap wickets. 20 and 22 to Dennis Heasman and Tom Roach respectively helped the target to 107 when the side finished all-out.
A half-century 51 to Merimbula's Aaron Miller was enough to salvage the win for the Knights after the combine had cleaned up some early wickets.
The second division squad are home at Mallacoota on Saturday, while the firsts play host to South Euro at Eden.
