In the grand final against Cooma United on the weekend they came out on top 12-nil after a hard-fought match.
"We're pretty bloody proud of winning the grand final, coming from not much," CUBE hooker Caitlin Johnson said.
But in the first part of the game CUBE was on the backfoot.
"Cooma were all over us for the first 15minutes," Johnson said.
"We defended in our own 30 in the first half.
"We still can't believe they didn't score in those first 15 minutes."
When the second half came around coach-captain Anneliese Hughes was the first to score and after that Cooma began to drag its heels, Johnson said.
Tamika Millard put on a "gun show", she said, taking out the second and third tries with the latter being a 80metre full field score and was named man of the match.
Johnson said other teammates who put in standout performances during the match included Kiarna and Sharna Mitchell, Leonie Balcomb, Alicia Cash and Larissa Horswell.
She said Courtney Hughes had also given an impressive performance, even though this was her debut season as she had not played football until tag this season.
"The Cooma girls played really well, they were hard and fast," she said.
"But they say defence wins games and that was exactly what happened to us."
It is the second year of the competition with CUBE coming about third on the final ladder last season. Johnson said her team was stoked to come out top this year.
"Our saying is 'the Panthers are having a party!'," she said.
"The girls were especially proud of each other.
"We've built on our relationships over the last couple of years which has obviously helped in the field.
"Joining with Eden has been the best thing for the sport. "We're all friends and we support each other."
Johnson thanked her team's sponsors, supporters and the committee that organised it, and said the team was keen to play again next season.
