It will be enjoyed with a picnic on the lawns of Four Winds' bushland amphitheatre in Barragga Bay on November 3.
A highlight will be a new dance piece created specifically for the Four Winds site, as never before have dancers wrapped themselves around the site like this.
Encounter South is an exploration into the everyday extra-ordinariness and power of young people living on the South Coast and Western Sydney.
Developed with a cast of eight Western Sydney dancers and eight Fling Physical Theatre dancers as well as 50 musicians both locals and from the Western Sydney Youth Orchestra, Encounter South celebrates the indomitable spirit of youth.
The music for this dance piece was composed by multi-Aria nominated singer, songwriter and composer Jodi Phillis (The Clouds and solo artist), along with muti-award winning film score composer Amanda Brown.
Close to the heart of Four Winds is its mentoring program for some of the South Coast's best young musicians, so be prepared to be blown away by these up and coming musicians.
From singer-songwriters to classical soloists these young people are going inspire you with their performance in the Windsong Pavilion on the day.
Spring will also give you the opportunity to sit on the lawns of Four Winds with your lunch and enjoy the Western Sydney Youth Orchestra at its best.
There will also be taiko, songs and soloists.
If you love music, learn an instrument or want to inspire your next generation, come along.
The Spring Festival Finale will be on Sunday, November 3 from 10am to 2pm at the Windsong Pavilion and Sound Shell at Four Winds, Barragga Bay.
