The ambrose tournament is organised by Jim Chenhall and the Whale Festival Committee each year to raise money to help put on the Whale Festival, which this year is on November 1-3.
The weather was beautiful and the competition was keen to get their names on the Whale Festival Cup.
This year's winners were an experienced team captained by Grant Inwood. The other members of the team that put them at the top of the list were Peter Grubesic and Darren Griffin, and keeping the team secure Adam Inwood.
The runner-up team led by Harry Weatherman consisted of young hard hitting Jarod Addinsall, Brent Dunne and putting spark into the team James Timms. Janice and Mark Davison along with Pat and Fred Fethers finished third.
Closest to the pin ball winners were Janice Davidson, Kevin Stone, Kay Eley, Brian MacDonald, Don Wilson, and Nards. Showing their accuracy with straightest drives were Pat Fethers and Mike Sheppard.
Good fun was had by all and golfers should put this event in their 2020 diary as an event not to be missed.
