Jemma and Jessie have been hitting the pitch in Newcastle for the under 15 and under 18 country championships respectively.
Officials said the Far South Coast were becoming a powerhouse of girls cricket with Jade Allen, Janet King and Amy Wels also joining forces in the 18s squad.
Association officials wished the girls luck, but also said they will be back in town in time for the opening round of the Glenda Hall Shield competition against Canberra-based teams.
Bega's George Griffin Oval will provide a home to the opening round for the ladies players on Saturday with a 10am start to the day.
Spectators are more than welcome and those who can't make an early start are in luck.
A second round fixture will follow immediately after play with a 12.30pm start also at George Griffin Oval.
Association officials said the FSC team had a foundation of ladies players that "eat and breathe cricket" and they were confident the locals could take it to the ACT squads.
The women's round also lines up with the start of the home season with Eden's first division outfit to play host to Bega-Angledale at the Eden Cricket Ground on Saturday afternoon.
The Eden club is the defending premiers after taking out the first division crown over Merimbula in March this year.
The club's last two premierships have both been won in good contests with the Merimbula club, while a larger eight-team division should make for an exciting season to come.
The second division series doesn't start until October 19 with an Eden-Mallacoota combine to face the South Eurobodalla in Dalmeny as their season opener.
In other cricketing news, the association has been saddened by the loss of iconic umpire Alan Gale.
"For those who didn't know Alan he was an influential around the area for Cricket and Tennis as well as other community groups," Association president Charles Aggenbach said.
The first division best and fairest medal bears his name.
Anyone wanting to attend his funeral is Friday at the Church of England in Merimbula.
