The man with a grand vision following in the footsteps of Ben Boyd, died on July 30, aged 87.
Mr Lyon was the managing director of Lyon Group Australia, which owns the Seahorse Inn at Boydtown on the southern shore of Twofold Bay, Eden.
While not always seeing eye to eye with council and governments, Mr Lyon was adamant Boydtown could become a vibrant coastal city, with a rail link from Nowra through to Bairnsdale, and residential and mixed commercial use subdivisions on the land surrounding the Seahorse Inn.
That vision for Boydtown's future will be revealed at a gathering on August 23 at the Seahorse Inn.
The event begins at 6.30pm. RSVP to 6496 1361.
