Lionesses take home top trophy

The Eden Lioness Club has been awarded The Best Lioness Club Trophy.

Sandra Symonds and Jan Pyke travelled to Batemans Bay to accept the award at the the Lions District Changeover Dinner on July 13.

They were warmly congratulated by the zone chairperson Robyn Bedford, of the Pambula Merimbula Lions.

It was the culmination of another great year for the Eden Lionesses who celebrated at their changeover dinner recently at Nemo's Restaurant.

Outgoing president Sandra Symonds was thanked for her tireless work for the club. Incoming president, Jill Jarvis, and the new board were inducted by Robyn Bedford.

The club reported that in financial year 2018-19 a massive $17,670 was donated to many local and national organisations and worthy causes.

One of the local organisations was the Eden Fitness Trail Group who received a cheque for $3000 from the Eden Lionesses during the year.

Members and the community were thanked for their support of the club.
