Daniel Champagne, the young virtuoso recently described as "the finest guitar player of this generation" has been selling out concerts world-wide and now brings his tour back home to the South Coast. He will perform at Smokey Dan's in Tomakin on May 22 from 6pm, the Lush Factory in Tilba on May 23 from 7pm, the Dish and Spoon Cafe in Nowra on May 24 from 6.30pm, Mumbulla School Hall in Bega on May 25 from 7pm and Nethercote Hall on May 26 from 7pm. Celtic Festival
Berry, May 25.
The Berry Celtic Festival will highlight the Celtic nation of Ireland. Along with a day full of entertainment including the spectacular jousting medieval knights. There will be various workshops for Irish dancing, traditional tunes for kids, Gaelic singing, instrumental sessions along with a country dance. The festival commences with the parade along Queen Street at 9.30am with a number of pipe bands, representatives of the all of the Celtic Clans, knights on horseback and Scottish Terrier dogs, all making their way to Berry Showground. Mollymook Markets
Mollymook Beach, May 26.
The markets are held on the reserve overlooking the beautiful Mollymook Beach on the fifth Sunday of the month, about four times per year. The large market has all the goodies you would expect to see and buy, ranging from plants, clothing, homemade foods, art and craft items to handyman tools - and even have a petting zoo.
Busking Festival
Narooma, May 25.
The seaside streets of Narooma will come to life with 150 performers and musicians from 9am-3pm this Saturday. It's the third Narooma Regional Busking Championships which attracts performers from across NSW, the ACT and Victoria. There are 33 busker hot spots sponsored by adjacent businesses which will have music ranging from country, blues, jazz and rock, to Scottish bagpipes, dancers, poets and belly dancers. The festival is hosted by Narooma Rotary Club, partnered with the River of Art, and is part of the Australian National Busking Championships. It will be the perfect weekend activity to walk and soak in some entertaining sights and sounds. The festival concludes with a free concert at Narooma Golf Club from 4pm. Wedding Fair
Merimbula, May 26.
Located in the heart of the beautiful Sapphire Coast, the relaxed wedding fair is a once-a-year opportunity for newly engaged romantics to meet and mingle with the region's best vendors and suppliers. The event is hosted by Sapphire Coast Weddings and Events and will be held between 10.30am and 3pm at Robyn's Nest Boutique Resort.
